Senior Project Manager – Ports & Marine Structures

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for marine structures and other port-related projects of varying complexity
- Leads the development of proposals for port development projects
- Develops project work plans and ensures execution through oversight and management of the project team
- Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers all structural engineered systems or products for a project
- Engages in the development of a design through analysis, design, drawings, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats
- Prepares and revises documentation through various project phases including site plans, sections, diagrams, and details
- Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors
- Participates in client project requirement meetings, value analysis, and cost estimating
- Leads the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents
- Participates in constructability reviews
- Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers
- Prepares project reports and feasibility studies
- Develops project scope, budgets, and design approach for all size projects
- Manages project schedules, budgets and client engagement
- Oversees and manages multiple projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineering license in Texas
- 15+ years of progressive ports & marine civil and structural engineering and project management experience
- Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of structural design codes, standards, and applicable port and marine terminals standards and guidelines
- Strong understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of marine structural systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards
- Ability to lead one or more teams through all phases of project document production
- Experience with STAAD software for structural modeling
- Strong project management skills including oversight of project teams' budget and schedule performance
