About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides technical design and leadership for a wide range of projects
- Leads technical design, execution, and delivery of projects
- Responsible for a wide range of project types, sizes, and complexities
- Plans and manages technical work and staffing within the group
- Participates in virtual and in-person project meetings
- Follows quality management processes; conducts project reviews and approvals
- Maintains strong client relations; monitors performance; implements improvements
- Acts as supervisor and resource to technical design team
- Manages Stantec’s technical project process and scope of work
Requirements
What you’ll need- Comprehensive knowledge of engineering practices and principles in own discipline
- Basic knowledge of practices and principles in other disciplines
- Able to conceptualize and develop solutions for multifaceted systems
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Proficient in applicable software (ie, REVIT and CAD)
- Strong communicator who effectively conveys scope, schedule, and budget
- Adept at writing comprehensive reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals
- Equipped to analyze, problem solve, and train others
- Organized and attentive to detail
- Flexible and collaborative
- Registered Structural Engineer (SE) license or other professional license or certification required
- Accredited engineering degree or equivalent education and experience required
- Minimum 10 years related industry experience
