About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support multi-disciplinary municipal civil projects, related to new build and infrastructure renewal
  • Undertake detailed studies and design tasks associated with water related projects including site civil, conveyance, and water resources projects
  • Perform project administration, including coordination of and preparing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, completing progress reports, and assisting in project management
  • Write reports and design briefs
  • Take responsibility for the quality of your written, technical and graphic work, and for completing work on time and on budget
  • Coordinate design drawing and specification development
  • Attend internal, client, and contractor meetings and document the meetings with minutes
  • Contract Administration as required for a wide variety of construction projects
  • Assist with site visits and field investigations as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a background in Civil Engineering (preferably in the water and wastewater discipline), from an accredited university
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Registration with APEGA as a member in training, or eligible to register
  • Valid class 5 driving license is required
  • Related Co-op/Internship experience preferred
