About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Stormwater management, drainage, and erosion & sediment control analysis and design tasks for projects and studies, including closed/open drainage systems, environmental site design, ponds, stream restoration, flood studies, and E&SC controls
  • Provide technical guidance to the Land Development teams in areas of hydrologic, hydraulic, scour, and water quality design and analysis
  • Independently manage and perform hydrologic and hydraulic design tasks, reports, and studies
  • Assist in plan development and cost estimation
  • Maintain adherence to project schedules and milestones
  • Participate in field work as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling experience including but not limited to TR-55, TR-20, PC-SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, or similar
  • Proficient using CAD programs including AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe, and Bluebeam
  • Effective communication and critical thinking skills
  • Commitment to client satisfaction, as well as team and personal growth
  • Professional, ethical, positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to challenges
  • Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines, work independently, think clearly, have organized thoughts, and draw logical conclusions
  • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems software
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • 5+ years’ experience in water resources design and analysis for Land/Civil Site Engineering.
