About the role
- Provide field-based environmental compliance monitoring and inspection services on active construction projects.
- Conduct site inspections, documenting conditions, identifying noncompliance, and coordinating corrective actions.
- Support regulatory requirements through consistent, high-quality field observations and reporting.
- Verify compliance with project specific permits, plans, and environmental requirements, including SWPPPs, mitigation plans, and construction drawings.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure impacts to regulated resources comply with permit requirements.
- Document site conditions through written field notes, photographs, and inspection reports.
- Work directly with contractors and construction personnel in the field to communicate environmental requirements.
Requirements
- Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- 2+ years of experience in environmental monitoring, construction inspection, stormwater compliance, or related field work.
- Prior experience on construction sites or performing environmental inspections is required.
- Experience working through environmental permitting in multiple markets is an asset.
