About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide field-based environmental compliance monitoring and inspection services on active construction projects.
Conduct site inspections, documenting conditions, identifying noncompliance, and coordinating corrective actions.
Support regulatory requirements through consistent, high-quality field observations and reporting.
Verify compliance with project specific permits, plans, and environmental requirements, including SWPPPs, mitigation plans, and construction drawings.
Monitor construction activities to ensure impacts to regulated resources comply with permit requirements.
Document site conditions through written field notes, photographs, and inspection reports.
Work directly with contractors and construction personnel in the field to communicate environmental requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience.
2+ years of experience in environmental monitoring, construction inspection, stormwater compliance, or related field work.
Prior experience on construction sites or performing environmental inspections is required.
Experience working through environmental permitting in multiple markets is an asset.
