Key responsibilities & impact

Bring deep knowledge and thought leadership in Electrical Engineering
Contribute to overall strategic leadership of the Stantec Buildings engineering team
Leading the electrical engineering practice for Mission Critical Facilities
Business development and contributions to project delivery standards
Develop and execute strategic and tactical business and marketing plans
Hire, develop, grow and lead a team of engineering project managers and designers
Manage financial performance, quality control, and project delivery for Electrical Engineering projects
Work with PM's and SMEs on key projects
Apply strong engineering skills to the design and oversight of building projects
Provide oversight for Electrical Engineering continuing education and development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in engineering
15+ years related professional experience
Professional Engineering license
Project Management Professional certification a plus
LEED AP Credential preferred
Outstanding client service skills
Strong managerial skills
Strong business acumen
Business development skills
Comprehensive understanding of building project components
Ability to manage clients, projects, fee, scope, and teams
Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards
Strong technical understanding and working knowledge of buildings systems for Mission Critical Facilities
Strong knowledge of the Mission Critical market
