About the role

  • Bring deep knowledge and thought leadership in Electrical Engineering
  • Contribute to overall strategic leadership of the Stantec Buildings engineering team
  • Leading the electrical engineering practice for Mission Critical Facilities
  • Business development and contributions to project delivery standards
  • Develop and execute strategic and tactical business and marketing plans
  • Hire, develop, grow and lead a team of engineering project managers and designers
  • Manage financial performance, quality control, and project delivery for Electrical Engineering projects
  • Work with PM's and SMEs on key projects
  • Apply strong engineering skills to the design and oversight of building projects
  • Provide oversight for Electrical Engineering continuing education and development

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 15+ years related professional experience
  • Professional Engineering license
  • Project Management Professional certification a plus
  • LEED AP Credential preferred
  • Outstanding client service skills
  • Strong managerial skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Business development skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of building project components
  • Ability to manage clients, projects, fee, scope, and teams
  • Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards
  • Strong technical understanding and working knowledge of buildings systems for Mission Critical Facilities
  • Strong knowledge of the Mission Critical market
