About the role

  • Lead and support projects related to drinking water distribution modeling and sanitary sewer collection system modeling.
  • Build client relationships and lead marketing/pursuit efforts.
  • Develop project proposals and deliver technical work.
  • Lead technical work and prepare project deliverables in accordance with Stantec’s national modeling practice protocols.
  • Deliver successful projects for clients in the Water business.
  • Collaborate with Stantec’s national modeling team to support business development and project delivery tasks.
  • Develop and manage the approved scope, budget, invoicing, and schedule on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Identify appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives and manage contract terms.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with clients, approval agencies, and industry professionals.

Requirements

  • Proven project management and technical skills applicable to drinking water and sanitary sewer modeling and planning projects.
  • Experienced in organizing, planning, and executing drinking water and sanitary sewer modeling projects.
  • Hand-on experience in industry leading water and sewer software (InfoWater, WaterGEMS, WaterCAD, InfoWorks ICM, PCSWMM, XPSWMM, EPASWMM).
  • Ability to make sound defensible business decisions, and identify, assess, evaluate, and solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate technical information internally and externally in clear, concise manner.
  • Experience with client management and building client relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in supervising, teaching, and mentoring other staff.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, or construction management related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years’ relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years of experience managing and/or coordinating projects.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required, or ability to obtain PE license within 6 months.
