About the role
- Manage multiple planning and permitting projects for various private- and public-sector clients.
- Guide the permitting and planning process for mining-related projects.
- Mentor staff in technical practices and project management.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and local governments.
- Conduct environmental analyses and prepare NEPA documentation.
- Manage technical studies and ecological resource assessments.
- Grow key accounts and engage clients on critical issues.
- Participate in proposal development and project delivery.
Requirements
- B.S. in planning and/or related engineering or environmental discipline; a master’s degree is desirable.
- At least 10 years of relevant professional consulting and/or mining industry related experience.
- At least 10 years of experience with building client relations and developing business.
- Thorough understanding of technical environmental impact analysis methods.
- Sound knowledge of the mining industry, including mine permitting and compliance issues, NEPA requirements, and related environmental regulations.
- Preexisting relationships and experience with mining companies within Nevada and/or adjacent states.
- Geographically based in Western US, preferably Nevada.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must have a good driving record and valid driver’s license.
