Engineer

• Work collaboratively with Stantec offices across Canada, USA, South America and Australia to support local and international mining projects
• Engage technical team in planning, design and execution of geotechnical projects in soils and bedrock
• Lead planning and completion of geotechnical site investigations including instrumentation, logging, sampling, and field testing
• Lead installation, monitoring and interpretation of geotechnical instrumentation data
• Lead analyses and design of complex earth and rock structures
• Support mine and tailings planning groups in development and design of large mining and closure projects
• Lead preparation of technical design documents, drawings, figures and models
• Lead preparation of project technical proposals and provide peer/senior review of technical deliverables
• Collaborate with geology, hydrogeology, water management, environmental/permitting, process design, mining, and pumping/piping disciplines
• Ensure compliance with Stantec and client safety programs and Project Quality Procedures
• Provide technical leadership, business awareness and project/program management understanding
