About the role
- Serve as Stantec’s Southern New England Structural Team Lead.
- Contribute to initiatives to help advance project design, operations, and business development.
- Maintain and enhance reputation with clients, approval agencies and industry professionals.
- Establish project objectives, procedures, and performance standards.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams on projects from positioning to proposals, planning studies, feasibility through final designs, and construction services.
- Represent Stantec and the project design team as a technical leader.
- Identify appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives.
- Manage contract tasks, track, and manage costs and schedule.
- Implement measures necessary to stay on schedule and within budget.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Grow internal and external networks to enhance Stantec reputation and identify additional talent.
- Develop client relationships to facilitate project activities.
- Establish, maintain, and promote partnerships in project pursuits.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members through coaching and performance oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- MA Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive engineering and project management experience with bridge design and transportation project delivery
- Experience with the role of deputy design manager, design manager, and or quality manager on mid to large scale projects
- Experience leading the design and construction support of complex transportation projects
- Experience developing, negotiating, and managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Business development experience required
- Marketing skills required
- Ability to lead, motivate, mentor, and develop a team of technical and professional staff
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues in a dynamic and energetic environment
- Design-Build or other alterative project delivery experience.
