About the role

  • Lead clients through the planning and creation of fiscally responsible designs
  • Manage complex tasks on multiple, large scope projects
  • Participate in interviews for potential projects
  • Plan, organize, and direct project work
  • Inform the Principal in Charge of project progress and deliverables
  • Assure project design meets client budget and schedule
  • Develop and manage project budget, schedule, and work plan
  • Mentor Assistant Project Managers
  • Complete and document Project Management Framework tasks
  • Lead project coordination meetings
  • Manage change orders, applications for payment, and contractual modifications
  • Work with Operations Manager to determine project staffing needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture required
  • Master’s degree preferred in architecture or related field
  • Registered Architect is required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in architecture project management with a strong background in education sector is required
  • Extensive project experience supports in the ability to win work during proposal response
  • Capable of simultaneously supporting one or more Principal’s in Charge on multiple projects
  • Experience in one (or more) of the following markets: Healthcare, S&T, Advanced Manufacturing, Mission Critical
  • Excellent understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry associated standards
  • Proactively takes appropriate action without requiring continued direction or guidance
  • Effectively manages multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Team player with the client, entire project team and contractor
  • Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Newforma; Prefer experience with Revit
