About the role
- Lead design vision and strategy for large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects
- Drive business development and client engagement
- Ensure design integrity through all phases
- Mentor team members
- Manage project management and construction documentation
- Work in a team environment on a wide range of projects
- Develop design experience in parks, recreation facilities, corporate campus, and master planned communities
- Interact with clients with exemplary communication skills
- Foster a culture of collaboration within the team
- Support projects led by other disciplines
- Maintain project budgets
Requirements
- Licensed Landscape Architect
- Experience with public and private sectors in the Northeast
- Demonstrated responsibility, maturity, and commitment to a team-driven environment
- Expertise in resilient and sustainable designs
- Desire and ability to lead and contribute on multiple levels within the design process
- Excellent creative and critical thinking skills
- Ability to integrate sustainability in all aspects of planning and design
- Well-versed in local, regional, and national trends in planning, landscape architecture and urban design
- Ability to successfully scope and deliver multi-disciplinary projects
- Strong communication skills to present ideas clearly and confidently
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office; Civil3D and LandFX preferred
- High-level understanding and working knowledge of GIS, Sketch-Up, Rhino or similar platforms
- Excellent time management skills
- Thorough understanding of task assignments, schedules, budgeting, and resource use
- Detailed knowledge of codes, legal and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions
- Demonstrated effectiveness in building and maintaining client relationships
- Experience conducting presentations and project interviews
- Good driving record and valid driver’s license required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program
- Minimum 15 years of experience preferred
