About the role

  • Evaluate, select, specify, and review shop drawings for electrical systems and products
  • Engage in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats
  • Utilize technologies in development of three-dimensional models of electrical systems
  • Prepare and revise documentation during various phases of design and construction
  • Attend project coordination meetings with internal team and external consultants
  • Participate in client project requirement meetings, value analysis, and basic cost estimating
  • Prepare and coordinate project specifications with construction documents
  • Conduct reviews to assess field conditions
  • Conduct construction phase services and respond to RFIs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Minimum 7 years of experience
  • Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of industry standards and electrical/building codes
  • Strong understanding of all phases of project document production
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, National Electrical Code, California Title 24
  • Participation and collaboration in a project team setting
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal and interview skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoDesk products (i.e. AutoCAD), Bentley products (i.e. Microstation); familiarity with Revit is an asset
  • Experience with specialized power system software such as ETAP and/or SKM PowerTools is an asset
