About the role
- Evaluate, select, specify, and review shop drawings for electrical systems and products
- Engage in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats
- Utilize technologies in development of three-dimensional models of electrical systems
- Prepare and revise documentation during various phases of design and construction
- Attend project coordination meetings with internal team and external consultants
- Participate in client project requirement meetings, value analysis, and basic cost estimating
- Prepare and coordinate project specifications with construction documents
- Conduct reviews to assess field conditions
- Conduct construction phase services and respond to RFIs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Minimum 7 years of experience
- Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of industry standards and electrical/building codes
- Strong understanding of all phases of project document production
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, National Electrical Code, California Title 24
- Participation and collaboration in a project team setting
- Strong presentation, interpersonal and interview skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoDesk products (i.e. AutoCAD), Bentley products (i.e. Microstation); familiarity with Revit is an asset
- Experience with specialized power system software such as ETAP and/or SKM PowerTools is an asset
