About the role

  • Reviewing lease and sublease agreements to assess IFRS accounting implications
  • Updating CoStar leases database and coordinating changes
  • Preparing monthly lease payments and analyzing variances
  • Preparing complex journal entries for lease accounting and internal allocations
  • Performing related balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting in the 5-day period end close process by promptly identifying and correcting issues
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, practices, procedures

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills, including written and oral English language competency
  • Detail oriented individual with high degree of accuracy in analyzing contracts, data and financial reporting
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple competing priorities and firm deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • A proactive and responsive customer service approach
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrating initiative and assertiveness
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while remote
  • An accounting degree or diploma (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of two years of IFRS 16 (Ind AS116) related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and related real estate experience
  • Experience with Oracle, CoStar Real Estate Manager, and BlackLine would be considered an asset
