Report to the Marketing Team Lead for Water and collaborate with marketing, visual communication, digital, and public relations professionals to build brand awareness and identify market growth opportunities.
Collaborate with marketing and technical staff to meet aggressive deadlines and lead teams to prepare winning proposals, engaging presentations, and marketing materials.
Pursuits: Partner with key water business developers to create high-impact proposal and qualification submissions through effective storytelling/writing, layout/graphics, proposal management, and RFP/RFQ compliance.
Interview and Client Presentations: Lead and coach teams through interviews and preparation of client presentations including PowerPoint slides and printed collateral materials.
Content Creation: Develop qualification materials (project descriptions, resumes, capability statements), brochures/flyers, award submissions, and other communications aligned with Stantec’s visual brand and written voice.
Marketing Systems: Promote consistent use of internal marketing and business development databases to support data integrity related to people, projects, pursuits, and promotional activities.
Account Management: Support client development and account management efforts; maintain up-to-date account management plans and assign team responsibilities.
Client Outreach: Collaborate on client-facing events, conferences/tradeshows, digital campaigns, targeted publications, promotional activities, company website, and other communications in alignment with the Stantec brand.
Requirements
Detail-oriented and organized, with strong prioritization, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office applications, and web-based interfaces.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong coordination and facilitation skills, especially for positioning, proposals, interviews, and client presentations.
Cooperative team member who can work independently and with a large team, both in-person and virtually.
Post-secondary education in marketing, English, communications, journalism, business, or equivalent level of experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience; 3 years minimum preferred (marketing professional in the Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industry preferred).
Experience involving proposal work and marketing materials for other industries will be considered.
Knowledge of water engineering (water resources, wastewater treatment, water reuse, etc.) is a plus but not required.
