Key responsibilities & impact

Serves as technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinates technical efforts within discipline areas.
Participate in mechanical design development from conceptual design through detailed design, coordinating with other team or project members including other disciplines.
Prepare and check design computations for system design, equipment and pipe sizing, and determining conditions of service.
Consults with construction personnel concerning design constructability as related to field conditions, sequencing, and scheduling of construction activities.
Attend both client and construction contractor meetings.
Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents (Revit, AutoCadd, Trane TRACE 3D, Caesar II, and Pipe-Flo Professional/Trane Pipe Designer).
Lead and mentor less experienced engineers and designers through the design process.

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from and ABET accredited College or University with 8-10 years of experience.
P.E. Licensure and willingness to get licensed in additional states is required
Ability to travel approximately 5-10% of the time (domestic and international).
Candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Office.
Experience with ProjectWise or similar enterprise content management tools is a plus.
Energy modeling experience preferred but not required.
AABC CxA certification preferred but not required.
