About the role
- Lead the preparation of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tasks, including set up of models, guiding the team during a modeling effort, and review of modeling work prepared by others on the team.
- Work in collaboration with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural, and CAD) in producing plans and specifications.
- Consistently managing and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Desire and ability to manage and mentor staff.
- Participation in local professional organizations, preparing, and presenting market specific papers and presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Licensed Professional (PE) Engineer.
- Varied software experience including 1-D and 2-D hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, 1-D and 2-D HEC RAS, PCSWMM, HydroCAD or other modeling software.
- Wide knowledge of water resources engineering analysis and design, with the ability to lead project development and determination of solutions to meet client needs.
- Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Excellent team leadership skills.
- Open to active participation in professional organizations.
- Working knowledge and experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley Microstation products.
- Experience in site grading design, surface runoff management, detention design, conveyance.
