About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Achieve the annual operating plan by working with distributors to increase route averages and recruit new distributors into the territory
- Conduct Field Excellence Meetings every 60 days and monthly with the entire district
- Lift more than 10 pounds of product totes to showcase to customers
- Conduct effective work-withs and truck ride-alongs 3–4 days per week to coach and support distributors
- Complete initial two-week training and potentially additional two-week periods when assisting with new starts
- Attract and retain distributors in the Mac Tools business
- Conduct new franchisee training through two-week ride-alongs
- Set up new-start trucks, including pushing and pulling products and toolboxes
- Revisit new starts as needed to develop and coach them as directed by the Regional Manager and Regional Business Analyst
- Participate in Student Tech shows
- Manage regional credits and adjustments
- Perform route surveys for all new starts and as requested by the Regional Manager
- Travel locally 80% of the time
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA in business or related field
- Prior experience in the mobile tool sales industry
- Knowledge of the local automotive repair market
- Demonstrated success recruiting new talent into an organization
- Prior experience as a small business owner or coaching and mentoring small business owners
- Minimum 5 years of route/field sales experience
- Minimum 2 years of management experience directing multiple field/route sales professionals
- Must be able to lift more than 10 pounds
- Must be able to perform bending, twisting, and pushing
