Lead the Manufacturing and Project Engineering teams at two EAP sites in Manchester and Columbia, Connecticut
Deliver high quality technical support for high-volume aerospace business
Create and maintain manufacturing procedures and processes
Establish and enhance robust machining methods and tooling required for production
Maintain accurate manufacturing standards
Work closely with manufacturing operations to develop a world-class operating system
Assist in identifying capital requirements to improve current processes
Develop and implement cross-training plans and maintain workforce skill levels (CNC programming, machine automation, sheet metal fabrication)
Conduct employee performance reviews, evaluations, and development discussions
Lead root cause analysis and instill problem solving/continuous improvement culture (Kaizen/process improvement/lean)
Implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions to reduce quality issues and minimize scrap/rework costs
Support site and division strategies and initiatives
On-site employee responsible for two Connecticut locations
Requirements
BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace or System Engineering or related technical field
Six+ years minimum experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or equivalent role
Three+ years minimum experience in a manager/leadership position in a manufacturing setting
Ability to research, compile and analyze data effectively for reports or decision making
Strong working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean tools and methodologies
Strong background in machining, metal-forming or complex assembly experience a plus
Experience with CNC programming, machine automation, sheet metal fabrication (mentioned for cross-training)
Ability to conduct employee performance reviews/evaluations and development discussions
Experience leading root cause analysis and continuous improvement (Kaizen/process improvement/lean techniques)
Ability to identify capital requirements and implement process improvements
