About the role
- Develop and implement a comprehensive vendor management strategy aligned with IT and business objectives.
- Design, implement, and refine vendor stratification strategies, ensuring vendors are managed according to their strategic value and risk, which maximizes organizational benefit and efficiency.
- Provide training and guidance to IT Capability leaders to ensure the effective implementation of strategies.
- Partner with Procurement and IT leaders to implement best practices to improve initiatives optimizing cost, quality, and delivery of IT products and services.
- Establish, nurture, and manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers.
- Lead high value negotiations and oversee contract management to secure favorable terms and high-quality delivery.
- Define and track vendor performance metrics, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to vendor engagements.
- Collaborate with IT, procurement, legal, finance, and business units to ensure cohesive vendor strategies and resolve operational issues.
- Monitor technology trends, vendor market shifts, and emerging solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT vendor management, procurement, or strategic sourcing, including 5+ years in a leadership capacity with People Management responsibility.
- Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software, cloud services, and digital transformation.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing vendor management strategies in large complex organizations.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in risk management, compliance, and contract administration.
