About the role

  • The Job: As a Sales Development Specialist, you’ll be part of our Independent Retail Sales Operations team working as remote worker.
  • You responsible for the daily management and administration of assigned Independent Retailer (Dealer) accounts within multi-state regions.
  • You will also manage responsibilities that support the Field Sales Managers and contribute to the development of the region.
  • Successful candidates will have proven inside sales or sales support experience, strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Candidate must be self-motivated with the capacity to balance and prioritize initiatives, work independently and in a group environment.
  • Manage ~100 assigned Dealer accounts to provide a high standard of sales support.
  • Manage and deliver quarterly shipments and retail sales goals.
  • Execute sales programs and achieve sales targets.
  • Sell and educate Dealers on tools, products, and programs to drive sell-in and sell-through.
  • Understand Dealer credit line and interact with floorplan companies as needed.
  • Interact directly with Dealers to achieve retail and program execution tasks and assist with problem resolution.
  • Manage responsibilities that support Field Sales Managers and contribute to the development of your assigned regions.
  • Collaborate with local Field Sales Managers and Directors to understand the support needs of the region and identify process improvements.
  • Attend regional training events and national Dealer meetings.
  • Be a brand advocate for all brands under the Stanley Black and Decker umbrella, primarily focused on Cub Cadet, Hustler, and DEWALT.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, sales or related field, or equivalent working experience is preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in inside sales or customer service
  • Proficient in suite of Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM tool
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
