About the role

  • Oversee sales operations within your assigned region, implementing tailored strategies to achieve regional revenue targets and market penetration goals.
  • Develop and execute localized sales strategies that align with broader company objectives.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve top-line revenue targets and market penetration goals focusing on both Sell-In to Independent Distribution and Sell-Through for National Accounts.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of our Core and Specialty product lines, including application and the ability to communicate differentiators, features, and benefits.
  • Champion the consultative selling model of Total Tool Solutions with focus on the core industrial brands of DEWALT and PROTO.
  • Develop and execute the Industrial strategy for the DEWALT Brand, including recommendations for new product development and category expansion.
  • Implement, track, and coach to role-specific key performance indicators to drive territory, region, and business unit success.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, and utilize forecasting tools to predict future sales volumes and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team (made up of Field Sales team members), providing guidance and support to meet individual and team goals, providing ongoing and scheduled performance-related feedback and coaching.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distribution and end-user customers as well as industry group affiliations, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Engage in negotiations and close high-value contracts with major clients.
  • Analyze sales data and prepare consensus reports for senior management, outlining performance metrics and market trends in demand and promotional needs.
  • Actively participate in the S&OP & IBP processes.
  • Work closely with Channel Marketing and supply chain teams to ensure alignment between sales objectives, forecast, and product demand needs.
  • Collaborate with Channel Marketing leadership to shape the product promotion playbook.
  • Manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring alignment with anticipated sales demand forecasts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Sales within the Industrial channel or related manufacturing sectors with at least 5 of those years in a People Leader capacity.
  • Ability to travel within the United States at least 50% of the year.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
