About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the efficient and effective operations of pharmacy services
Supervise and manage pharmacy personnel, technical support staff, and clinical pharmacists
Interpret and enforce policies and procedures and create new policies and procedures
Design and implement performance improvement initiatives enhancing safety, environmental, and infection control
Oversee pharmacy practices to optimize medication management outcomes
Participate in informatics meetings and implement workflow processes, protocols, and ERX records
Partner across the organization to improve client satisfaction and streamline service delivery
Review department performance and implement improvements with the pharmacy leadership team
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals on patient drug therapy issues
Oversee training programs for pharmacy staff, residents, and students
Fulfill Pharmacist in Charge duties as necessary

Requirements

What you’ll need

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college or university required
Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in Pharmacy required, or PGY1 and 3 years of such experience, or PGY1 and PGY2 (General) with 1 year of such experience, or PGY1 and PGY2 HSPAL Residency completion
Knowledge of California State Board of Pharmacy Laws and Regulations
Knowledge of Title 22 regulations
Knowledge of state and federal eMS regulations
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Skill in establishing policies and procedures and communicating with coworkers
Ability to interpret new laws, guidelines, regulations, and guidelines applicable to pharmacy practice
Licensed as a Pharmacist by the California Board of Pharmacy required within 120 days
