Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Certificate of completion or official transcript from a medical assisting program OR completion of medical assistant training by a licensed physician or podiatrist OR certification as medical assistant through a Medical Board of California – approved certifying organization
At least one year of overall experience (Including external experience)
Knowledge of and ability to use and apply medical terminology
Knowledge of coding and billing regulations
Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area
