About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Answer patient calls regarding prescriptions, refills, insurance information, and related topics
  • Ensure patients remain on track with medication regimen, schedule deliveries, and confirm addresses
  • Assist with claim rejections, verify insurance information, and help with program eligibility
  • Update patient information, document calls, and maintain records
  • Communicate with clients about prescription refills and escalate any health-related concerns

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One year minimum call center experience or related experience providing customer service
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations; and disease states
  • Ability to adapt to and deal with change and ambiguity
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word.
