About the role

  • Assist with publication editing, op-ed pitching, news monitoring, media/press tracking and reporting, and general promotion of CEI’s research and analysis
  • Work alongside CEI experts and staff; communications and marketing interns work with respective teams
  • Gain meaningful professional experience at a partner organization and participate in programmatic activities
  • Participate in virtual professional development sessions and attend the in-person 2-day summit in Arlington, VA
  • Potential to shape internship responsibilities and explore other opportunities at CEI

Requirements

  • Geographically located within the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S. through the duration of the program
  • Must be available every other Thursday (Jan. 22, Feb. 12, Feb. 26, March 12, March 26, and April 9) from 1-3:30 PM ET for virtual professional development training
  • Must attend the in-person summit at Stand Together's Headquarters in Arlington, VA Feb. 6-Feb. 7
  • Strong interest in policy and politics, capitalism and economics, and libertarian/conservative principles
  • Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
  • Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential and private information
  • Ability to work independently, effectively, and efficiently
  • A basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a must

  • $7,500 or $5,500 stipend depending on full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (24 hours/week)
