About the role
- Assist with general accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support day-to-day accounting operations and assist with reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes for US clients.
- Help prepare and maintain accurate financial reports and documentation.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with US accounting policies, procedures, and GAAP standards.
- Perform data entry, maintain accounting records, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation for US audits.
- Collaborate with senior accountants on special projects and ad hoc reporting.
- Stay updated on basic US accounting principles and industry best practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience (internships or training experience accepted).
- Basic knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; exposure to accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and develop professionally in US accounting practices.
