About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute public relations and media outreach strategies that increase brand visibility and credibility.
- Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials.
- Research, identify, and pitch compelling story ideas to journalists, editors, producers, and media outlets.
- Secure media placements in financial publications, business news outlets, trade publications, podcasts, newsletters, and other relevant channels.
- Coordinate podcast interviews, media interviews, speaking engagements, and other thought leadership opportunities for company executives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, podcast hosts, and media contacts.
- Develop and maintain media lists and outreach databases.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify newsworthy company announcements, product launches, and industry insights.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR campaign performance and brand exposure.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor coverage, and emerging media opportunities.
- Ensure all public-facing communications align with the company's messaging, branding, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, corporate communications, or a similar role.
- Proven success securing media coverage through strategic outreach and relationship building.
- Experience pitching stories to financial, business, or professional publications.
- Existing relationships with journalists, editors, producers, or media outlets are highly preferred.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Experience writing and distributing press releases.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
