About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Set-up and Location: WFH
- Work Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM AEDT | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM PHT
- This position involves general responsibility for the support, design and development of new and existing products.
- The Draftsman/Mechanical Engineer is involved in all aspects of the product development lifecycle and all details related to assigned projects.
- Manage own workflow across time zones, ensuring timely responses and clear communication
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience
- Detail drafting of mechanical components and assemblies
- Generate, update, and maintain DraftSight 2D files and SolidWorks models/assemblies/parts/drawings
- Mechanical system design and development (pumps, hydraulic flow systems, piping, structural)
- Perform testing simulations and troubleshooting of designs using virtual tools
- Preparation of accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) and MRP-related documents
- Specification of equipment and materials to suit project requirements
- Designing mechanical components and systems independently
- Preparation of complete drawing packs for review and approval
- Producing and maintaining 3D models and 2D drawings to Australian standards using SolidWorks and DraftSight
- Support projects/products transitioning into production via detailed documentation and remote guidance
