About the role
- You will be the central point of contact (internal and external) for sustainability at Stadtwerke Wertheim GmbH and will assume project responsibility for our environmental management system under EMAS.
- Develop and monitor the environmental program together with the environmental team.
- Promote environmental awareness among employees through training and internal communication.
- Consolidate and prepare material and energy key figures from the company divisions, including the preparation of our greenhouse gas inventory in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
- Editorial oversight of the preparation of the environmental statement.
- Plan and support internal and external audits.
- Ensure implementation of legal requirements and monitor and assess changes in legislation.
- Actively contribute to strategic decisions with regard to sustainability aspects, including providing recommendations for action to management.
- As a representative of our company, participate in sustainability and industry networks and represent our interests there.
- After onboarding in the areas mentioned and depending on your suitability and qualifications, additional tasks may be taken on, for example in risk management or in the field of e-mobility.
Requirements
- Completed degree in business administration with a focus on sustainability/environmental management or a comparable qualification; alternatively relevant further training in sustainability or environmental management.
- Experience in preparing environmental and greenhouse gas inventories as well as sustainability reports.
- Knowledge of management systems and/or the energy supply sector is desirable.
- Independent and results-oriented working style.
- Strong communication skills, a confident and empathetic manner, and the ability to engage people from different areas.
- Enjoyment of trying new approaches, actively shaping change and working into new subject areas.
