About the role
- Ensure continuous, high-performance application operations
- Plan and further develop the application server landscape, including IT monitoring
- Install new technologies, servers, applications and services (e.g., cloud) and integrate them into the existing server and application environment
- Conduct IT security analyses and derive appropriate measures
- Develop scripts to automate and optimize technical processes
- Check system status and perform root cause analysis of faults
- Provide 2nd level support
- Participate in the on-call rotation
Requirements
- Successfully completed degree (B.A./B.Sc.) in (technical) Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information and Telecommunications Engineering or a comparable program with an IT focus
- ~2 years of professional experience desirable
- At least one certification in Microsoft enterprise technologies or in VoIP/telephony networks
- Confident working with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy and user administration
- Experience with hybrid cloud infrastructures
- Operation/administration of server systems on Windows and/or Linux
- Knowledge of operating VoIP or hybrid telephone systems
- Familiarity with IT security technologies
- Analytical thinking and a structured working style
- Strong problem-solving skills and systems-oriented thinking
- Team player with strong communication skills when working with colleagues, business units and external service providers
- Willingness to undertake continuous professional development and to learn new technologies
