About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own engineering delivery, planning, estimation, and execution for the product pod.
Partner with the pod owner to review PRDs, identify gaps, edge cases, and technical risks before development begins.
Lead technical discussions, challenge assumptions, and validate implementation approaches.
Drive predictable delivery while balancing speed, quality, and technical debt.
Enforce engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, documentation, observability, security, and coding standards.
Ensure production quality by driving root cause analysis and preventing recurring issues.
Mentor engineers, improve engineering discipline, and foster a culture of ownership and accountability.
Collaborate with QA, Design, DevOps, and other teams to remove blockers and ensure successful releases.
Perform technical research for the pod on behalf of the pod owner.

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
2+ years leading engineering teams or technical delivery.
Strong experience building modern Enterprise SaaS products.
Solid understanding of software architecture and system design.
Knowledge of cloud-native applications, AWS preferred.
Experience with modern development practices, CI/CD, and automated testing.
Strong understanding of Agile product development.
Ability to review code and technical designs.
Excellent planning, estimation, and delivery management skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to balance business priorities with engineering quality.
Preferred: experience leading cross-functional product teams.
Preferred: experience in high-growth product startups.
Preferred: knowledge of secure software development practices.
Preferred: experience with observability, production monitoring, and incident management.
Preferred: experience mentoring senior engineers and technical leads.
Preferred: expertise with AI-assisted software development tools and workflows.
