About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead delivery of strategic projects and programmes across STACK EMEA, managing scope, timelines, budgets and business outcomes
  • Lead, coach and develop a small, experienced project management team
  • Direct project managers and actively manage plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and expected benefits
  • Maintain oversight of the project and programme portfolio, identifying risks, competing priorities and delivery constraints
  • Intervene on off-track projects, establish recovery plans and secure timely decisions from sponsors and senior stakeholders
  • Partner with Development, Delivery, Operations, Commercial, Finance, People & Culture and other functions to remove barriers
  • Support portfolio prioritisation and alignment with strategic objectives, business priorities and available capacity
  • Provide reporting and insights to senior leadership on portfolio performance, risks, priorities and required decisions
  • Apply and improve STACK’s PMO methodology, governance framework, project lifecycle, tools, templates and ways of working
  • Capture lessons learned and embed effective practices to improve delivery maturity, operational effectiveness and project outcomes
  • Promote accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement across STACK EMEA
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for the wider PMO function during the EMEA VP, PMO’s extended leave later in 2026

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Significant experience leading complex projects, programmes or portfolios with a strong record of strategic delivery and measurable business outcomes
  • Experience leading and developing project management professionals
  • Strong programme and project management expertise
  • Experience applying traditional, Agile and hybrid delivery approaches
  • Proven experience identifying and recovering off-track projects, managing risk and driving actions to resolution
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with executive sponsors, senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to balance priorities, challenge constructively and make recommendations
  • Experience applying PMO governance, project methodologies and controls pragmatically
  • APM, PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent professional project/programme management qualification, or relevant experience
  • Experience in data centres, construction, infrastructure, engineering or real estate development advantageous
  • Experience with portfolio reporting, dashboards and performance metrics an advantage
