About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver and operate secure, scalable Azure and hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Own Infrastructure as Code, automation, patching and monitoring practices
- Support high availability, backup and disaster recovery for critical systems
- Act as a senior technical escalation point during incidents and outages
- Implement security controls aligned with ISO27001 and Essential Eight
- Partner with cybersecurity, networking and application teams
- Support cloud migrations, platform modernisation and new service delivery
- Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years’ hands on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Strong experience with IaC and automation (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, Azure DevOps)
- Solid understanding of Azure networking, identity, security and monitoring
- Experience with containers and AKS
- Knowledge of backup, DR and resilience patterns
- Confident incident management and troubleshooting skills
- Effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Relevant Azure certifications (e.g. AZ 104, Solutions Architect, Security Engineer) are essential
- Experience in healthcare or regulated industries is highly desirable.
