Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor and triage security alerts using SIEM tools; assist senior team members in investigating and responding to potential threats.
Provide operational support for Privileged Access Management (PAM) systems, ensuring user access aligns with security policies.
Support the team in conducting vulnerability scans and tracking the progress of remediation strategies across the network.
Assist in maintaining and updating security policies, procedures, and internal documentation.
Support security technologies including firewalls, endpoint protection, and email gateways.
Promote security awareness across the organisation and provide guidance to staff on security best practices.
Stay current with emerging threats and proactively seek opportunities to grow your technical skill set.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Demonstrated experience in a Cyber Security role or an IT role with a security focus will be highly regarded.
Experience across common security platforms including Microsoft Office 365, SIEMs, Email gateway products, Privilege Access Management, Endpoint Detection and Vulnerability Management platforms.
An understanding of security frameworks including the ACSC Essential Eight or NIST.
A strong ability to follow processes, troubleshoot issues, and escalate complex incidents when necessary.
Clear communication skills and the ability to explain security concepts to non-technical staff.
Tertiary qualification in IT/Cyber Security or progress toward certifications like CompTIA Security+ or CCNA is desirable.
A proactive, can-do approach with a genuine desire to learn from a team of experienced professionals.
