About the role
- Manage and develop the designated territory (USA: Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, New Mexico; Canada: Alberta, British Columbia)
- Drive electrical connector sales by cultivating relationships with existing and prospective customers across multiple industries
- Serve as an expert on high-current electrical connectors and Multilam contact technology, providing guidance and identifying new business opportunities
- Establish and maintain excellent client relations, augmenting sales with onsite support, technical assistance, and customized training
- Execute growth strategies in collaboration with the Business Development Manager and Head of Sales to boost market share
- Manage ETO (engineer to offer) connector projects according to Staubli standard processes
- Accurately maintain customer and sales opportunity records within the Aurea CRM system
- Actively participate in marketing activities, including networking events, trade shows, and webinars
- Complete required administrative tasks and HR trainings
- Adapt to the company’s evolving strategies and adjust job responsibilities as needed
- Estimated travel for business development activities, customer engagements, industry events, and Staubli gatherings (25-40%)
Requirements
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit with the drive and self-direction to excel autonomously
- Work in fully remote position including having a reasonable working space to conduct live video conferences in a private setting
- Proven experience in technical sales with the capacity to engage and understand customer needs effectively
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills
- Solid decision-making abilities
- Skilled in managing personal work schedule, time, and travel arrangements efficiently
- Competent in engineering fundamentals (interpreting mechanical drawings and basic electrical engineering concepts)
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with minimal oversight
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Aurea CRM, SAP, and various remote meeting platforms
- Familiarity with or ability to learn key market segments (Power Transmission & Distribution, Utilities & Exploration, Aerospace & Defense, Industrial Machinery, Data Centers)
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering
- Experience in technical sales or a customer-focused engineering role is ideal
- Ability to obtain a valid U.S. passport and capacity to cross international borders
- U.S. citizenship is a must (non-citizens with permanent resident status may be considered if they can meet clearance requirements)
- May be required to successfully complete a criminal background check and provide valid proof of identity
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive
- Ideally located within a 100 mile radius of Anaheim (other locations considered)
- Willingness to travel 25-40%
