About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete pre-admission consultations for invasive, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including assessing patient knowledge
  • Assess and monitor patients during procedures
  • Document patient information clearly and concisely, describing the chronological sequence of events
  • Maintain records of controlled substances during procedures and follow storage protocols
  • Assist physicians with orders and physical assessments of patients
  • Respond appropriately to department emergency situations
  • Function as a professional role model and resource person, providing guidance to co-workers
  • Demonstrate the Network’s Service Excellence Standards in interactions with internal and external customers
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper release of information
  • Comply with Network and departmental attendance and dress-code policies
  • Provide interventional radiology nursing care across available St. Luke’s campuses

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • One year nursing experience required
  • Interventional Radiology, Critical Care or Emergency department experience preferred
  • Current CPR certification required by completion of orientation
  • Ability to monitor and administer IV medications
  • ACLS certification required by completion of orientation
  • Prior computer usage required
  • Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania or New Jersey (Warren Campus)
  • Ability to complete physical requirements including standing, walking, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, and other listed movements
  • Must provide employment history for the past seven years, including present employer
  • Full legal name and current home address required in application
