About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and coordinate staff education and training activities
- Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs and projects supporting quality, cost-effective, compassionate patient care
- Maintain clinical competence in patient care
- Teach care of urgent and occupational medicine patients, including drug testing, EKGs, spirometry, fit testing, audiology, breath alcohol testing, vaccinations, splinting/casting, and clinical software
- Identify improvement opportunities and assess staff performance
- Facilitate implementation of new patient-care practices
- Collaborate with staff colleagues on education and training for new technologies, procedures, and patient-care activities
- Assess staff learning needs and provide ongoing education and development
- Develop and provide classroom and clinical experiences for nursing personnel
- Assist with unit-based orientation scheduling, coordination, and evaluation
- Develop and implement practice-related competencies
- Participate in policy and procedure development
- Develop, implement, and monitor program performance measures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Diploma or Associate’s Degree in a professional nursing program required
- Bachelor’s Degree required within 5 years of starting the position
- Master’s Degree required within 5 years of obtaining BSN
- Two years of experience in a clinical setting required
- Previous experience providing in-service or education programs preferred
- Current RN license in New Jersey or Pennsylvania, based on work location, required
- CPR certification required
- Clinical expertise in urgent and occupational medicine patient care
- Knowledge of drug testing, EKGs, spirometry, fit testing, audiology, breath alcohol testing, vaccinations, splinting/casting, and clinical software
- Ability to meet specified physical and sensory requirements
- Full legal name, current home address, and employment history for the past seven years required in application
