About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Performs general and aseptic cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms and specified areas throughout the hospital.
  • Uses appropriate cleaning supplies and chemicals according to departmental procedures.
  • Cleans and prepares patient rooms, beds, stretchers, and other assigned areas in a timely manner.
  • Scrubs, mops, and buffs floors; dusts and polishes furniture.

  • Attends 85% of Environmental Services Department monthly staff meetings annually.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred.
  • Three to six months of experience in housekeeping in either a hospital or institutional setting preferred.
