About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed
- Operates and maintains hyperbaric chamber and systems
- Prepares chamber, equipment, and maintains safety logs
- Explains treatment to patients and observes them during therapy
- Assists with transport of patients and maintains inventory of supplies
- Participates in education programs and maintains cleanliness of department
Requirements
What you’ll need- Certified Hyperbaric Tech (CHT) credentials preferred
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or national certification eligibility
- Minimum of one year of clinical hyperbaric systems operation preferred
- Must attend a UHMS approved 40 hour hyperbaric course within the first 3 months of employment
- Hyperbaric Certification preferred within 3 years of employment
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
