Medical Assistant – Surgical Oncology

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in the delivery of healthcare support for the practice
- Conduct pre-visit planning by updating patient’s medical record
- Prepare patients for examination, including vital signs and medical history
- Communicate with Care Team regarding discharge and referrals
- Maintain clinical supplies and clean exam rooms
- Participate in departmental activities and quality improvement initiatives
- Dispose of Bio-Hazardous waste per practice protocol
- Perform administrative tasks for patient check-in and check-out
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School degree or equivalent required
- One year of clinical experience OR graduate of Medical Assistant program required
- Two years of experience in similar healthcare setting is preferred
- Customer service experience is strongly preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification required or within 60 days of hire
