About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develops and implements a forward-looking social media strategy that supports enterprise goals in reputation, brand awareness, thought leadership, and community engagement
- Leads the direction, tone, and visual identity of all enterprise-level social channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)
- Fosters authentic, two-way engagement with patients, families, staff, and communities through meaningful content and dialogue
- Lead proactive social listening to identify emerging issues, public sentiment and opportunities for engagement
- Oversees creation of emotionally resonant storytelling that showcases the health system’s patients, clinicians, staff, research and impact
- Stays ahead of digital trends, technologies, and audience behaviors to ensure the organization is a social media leader
- Leads development of an integrated editorial calendar that aligns social media activity with organizational priorities, awareness campaigns, and key events
- Defines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) for engagement, reach, sentiment and conversion across platforms
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, journalism, or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
- 10 years of progressive experience in digital communications or social media management, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership role, required
