Senior Accountant – General Accounting, Reporting

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Preparing and reviewing complex journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process
- Ensuring a high level of accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards by maintaining strong internal controls and supporting audit requirements
- Partnering closely with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, drive efficiencies, and enhance the quality and timeliness of financial reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, finance, or related field of study required
- Minimum 4+ years of accounting experience working with a general ledger and related financial information systems
- Deep understanding and experience with accounting standards and regulations (e.g., IRS, US GAAP, Uniform Guidance, hospital regulations)
- Some experience working with cross-functional teams
- Workday experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills preferred (data filtering, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables)
- Professional certification (e.g. Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Certified Research Accountant (CRA)/Certified Management Accountant (CMA)) preferred
