About the role
- Contribute to the creation of complex financial models; perform scenario analyses of payor reimbursement using patient data and contract terms.
- Lead analysis of all current and future payor contract terms.
- Perform validation and organize patient information for contract models.
- Monitor and analyze variances between negotiated contract payment terms and contract performance; ensure actual reimbursement is consistent with expected payment calculations.
- Develop summary presentations, report findings of collection issues, and provide alternative recommendations to senior leadership for future contract terms or methodologies.
- Monitor financial performance and gather information to recommend changes to managed healthcare programs.
- Train and mentor team members to meet the comprehensive fiscal objectives at St. Jude while complying with policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Business Administration, Information Services) or any health related field of study required.
- 4+ years of experience; proven experience with managed care contracting required.
- Strong experience with the financial aspects of various payment mechanisms within managed care.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Proven performance in earlier role.
