About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, processes, and procedures that support the manufacturing of carbon fiber reinforced composite structures
  • Support the development of detailed cost models and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Assist in capital purchases by preparing comprehensive Statements of Work
  • Review, interpret, and approve engineering drawings and specifications
  • Design and implement new and revised bonding and inspection tooling
  • Develop and implement effective repair plans to restore product compliance
  • Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing
  • Lead process improvement, driving labor hour and cycle reduction initiatives and enhanced productivity
  • Collaborate with suppliers to troubleshoot issues related to quality and delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing or a related engineering field in the design, construction, and manufacturing of composite structures.
  • Proficiency in CATIA 3D modeling software
  • Access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A ‘U.S. Person’ includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
