About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Configure, monitor, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple sites
- Ensure network performance, availability, and security meet organizational standards
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Provide Tier III support for escalated network problems
- Plan and execute network hardware/software upgrades and migrations
- Deploy and integrate new technologies to optimize network performance
- Implement and enforce network security policies, firewalls, and VPN configurations
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, and operational documentation
- Prepare reports on network health, capacity planning, and incident resolution
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have at least a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a relevant discipline
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles
- Proven experience managing multi-site network environments
- U.S. Person status or government authorization required
- Expertise in Cisco or similar networking technologies (routing, switching, firewalls)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and network security principles
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies
- CCNP or equivalent preferred
