About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop & communicate sourcing plan and commodity strategy requirements within buying team.
- Coordinate and report on program schedules, priorities, IMS plans/targets.
- Ensure alignment between buying team and supply chain with various program build plans.
- Develop cost reduction strategies, inclusive of projects, with the buying team and the supply chain.
- Assist in driving ramp, capacity and transition plan readiness with the supply base.
- Provide clear project direction and status with various stakeholders.
- Stakeholder in the Make/Buy process.
- Provide data that is essential to the overall evaluation from the Buy side.
- Interact, integrate and drive results across cross-functional teams in engineering, supply chain, quality, production, and executive leadership.
- Drive accountability and support the commodity team to meet and exceed key metrics (timely requisition placement, MRB reduction, deflation/inflation mitigation, OTD-delinquency reduction, etc.).
- Oversee and prioritize risk mitigation strategies (i.e. multi-source decisions, DTC, cost variance and supply chain reviews).
- Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
- Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Develop and drive cost strategy within the Sourcing Organization, inclusive of cost savings, cost risk mitigation, long term agreements and leverage opportunities.
- Conduct contract negotiations and reviews.
- Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
- Recruit, onboard, train and mentor new hires.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in supply chain, engineering, program management, manufacturing, etc.
- ERP experience is mandatory, SAP preferred
- Strong analytical skill set
- Prefer advanced Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint) experience
- This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization.
