About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with other process engineers, quality, and operations to define design requirements, production methodology, and tooling concepts
Design a wide variety of tooling to support composite bonding, trimming, assembly, inspection, and transport
Create and maintain detailed models (3D) and drawings (2D) that fully document the tool design using Catia V5
Support in-house and external vendors during tooling manufacturing, design reviews, and final buy off
Ensure tooling complies with engineering specifications, industry standards, and best practices
Support new product design reviews to ensure DFM and DFA and provide technical insight

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline or relevant work experience, training, and skills in lieu of degree
5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing and/or product design
Experience working with composite material processes (lay-up, bagging, trimming) is preferred
This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization.
