About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and track long term agreements with suppliers
- Develop a strategy for expiring long term agreements
- Identify opportunities to cut costs through competitive bids, establish long term agreements, and identify new sources of supply
- Manage contract negotiation process
- Present potential agreements to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Manage transition to new suppliers with sourcing, quality, and engineering teams
- Effectively communicate with Program Management & Finance to assure quality financial models and risk are captured for the program
- Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and / or tasks
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects / tasks are compliant with policies and procedures
- Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in pricing models and pricing optimization techniques
- Provide guidance and support to commodity buyers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience in aerospace
- Access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization
- Advanced Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (Desired)
- Previous experience in Aviation engines / systems / aircraft (Desired)
- Previous experience working with Finance or with financial models (Desired)
- Ability to effectively manage multiple project responsibilities (Desired)
- Previous experience in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement (Desired)
- Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills (Desired)
