💰 $64,400 - $95,800 per year
About the role
- Manage stream of materials or parts for testing and analysis across internal and external sites and suppliers
- Evaluate new Materials screening and testing
- Where applicable, develop new process capability and specifications and roll out to internal team and/or customers
- Ensure new material and/or process compliance with internal specifications and industry standards
- Provide recommendations for material or process adjustments based on performance deviations and end-use requirements
- Support internal R&D projects and/or early-stage application of new materials with part fabrication and test development
- Composite part development to support material use cases
- Strategy development of application for advanced material use cases
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 0 - 7 years’ experience in materials or a related engineering field
- Experience in material testing (physical, chemical and/or mechanical)
- Familiarity with composite fabrication techniques
- Desire to work hands-on in lab and pilot manufacturing environments
